Our History

The Wayne Community Foundation (WFC) was incorporated in 1999 through the encouragement and direction of Mr. William Tuma, former superintendent of the Wayne Community Schools. The objective of WCF is to receive, invest, and disburse funds, property and gifts of any kind exclusively for the benefit of all citizens in Wayne County. WCF is a 501(c)3 non-profit corporation designed to benefit the areas of education, literature, arts and sciences, recreation, safety and our heritage.


Our Purpose

The Wayne Community Foundation is an organization designed to assist and benefit the citizens of Wayne County. The goal is to provide an efficient entity to accept and administer funds in the manner prescribed by each donor.

Wayne Community Foundation is affiliated with South Central Iowa Community Foundation, a nationally certified foundation.
